Little Santa Deck the Halls from Last-Minute Manda

I used Little Santa Deck the Halls (Last-Minute Manda), a star frame, and lots and lots of poinsettias.  Simple card.  The background was embossed.

I made this for the Kerst Christmas Challenge - sponsored this month by Last-Minute Manda.

Christmas Tag Challenge at Ecal Users Group

I'm thrilled to be participating in the Ecal Users Group 12 Days of Christmas Tags, and more thrilled to be introducing Gift Box Hang Tag.  You know I love me some simple crafts, and Dreaming Tree's are always so much fun to play with.  Yesterday I browsing Dreaming Tree to see what's new and found this file in their freebie gallery.  I used some patterned paper from my stash and embossed the ribbon with an old folder - the snowflake was from my stash. Ooh!

Be sure to check out the Dreaming Tree site to see more new releases from his fabulous designers.  Lots of cute stuff in their shop.

Eclips Users Group Christmas Tags

The Eclips Users Group Christmas Tag Challenge ends in just a few days - this is the first year I'm not looking for ideas last minute.  Thanks to so many companies giving ornament freebies, it's been a cinch this year to make some simple - but useful - Christmas tags.

Decided on a freebie from Dreaming Tree this morning using their new Gift Box Hang Tag and a snowflake from my stash.

New Make with Typewriter Embossing Folder

I'm actually several weeks early for our friend Ron's B-day...that's because I received some fun embossing folders for my birthday and had to try one out!

I hope to come up with some better ideas for this folder, but we'll see how that goes.  This may be the closest embossing foler that brings me back to my roots - that of a typing teacher.

Cute Butterflies

I love taking a Featured Stamper card (Splitcoast) and see how I can CASE it with tools I have other than what they used.  So today I chose a card using a butterfly die that I do not own.  I picked a butterfly SVG (Butterfly Pocket - SVG Cuts) and used some functions on my Eclips to replicate the same design.  Kind of a challenge - especially since I changed the size and shape of the card - but aren't my butterflies cute?  I had a sheet of the pretty Mosaic Background (We Are 3) in my stash and used that for my butterfly design.

Lovely Easter Bunny

I'm loving all the cute Easter images by All Dressed Up and decided to use Easter Bunny for my design for the Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz.  The patterned oval was created with Monica's Creative Room's Lattice 46.  Easter Bunny was colored digitally.

Design for the Kerst Christmas Challenge

Well, trying to get adjusted to adding the Kerst Christmas Challenges to my calendar.  You can see all the great inspiration HERE.  I just love that I now have inspiration to get my Christmas cards made throughout the year.

I love to frame my favorite images, so I used a wreath from Winter Frost (Hungry JPEG), along with Christmas Hugs from our sponsor.  It just so happens All Dressed Up is sponsoring the Kerst Christmas Challenge this month.  I sized the image to fit my frame.  Kind of a challenge because of her reindeer antlers, but aren't they cute?  I had a nice sentiment in my stash - and added the poinsettias.  My background paper is Moody Night (We Are 3) - the filigree is Lattice 50 from Monica's Creative Room.

I had a ball coloring her digitally.  If you like delicate and girlie images, be sure to check out All Dressed Up.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Kept with a cool blue/white color scheme for this Christmas card, and added an appropriate winter sentiment.  The "cold" sentiment is from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Freebies from Design Bundles and Creative Fabrica

Here's today's make - using fabulous freebies from Design Bundles and Creative Fabrica.  They are watercolor images - no mess.  The Eucalyptus frame is popped.  Isn't it pretty?  Can't help but smile at a simple card like this.

Paper Ala Mode Challenge - January Blues

So, it's only the second Paper Ala Mode challenge of the year, and already I'm happy to have managed to hang in there!  The new challenge is January Blues, and I made a gatefold card - this time using the Moon Fairy digi from Pattie's Creations, which I colored digitally and popped for dimension.

I embossed the background.  The band was cut using a Martha Stewart border punch I got years ago.

Freebie Progressive January

Tell me this isn't the yummiest little Rainbow Girl ever seen!  I had fun coloring her.  She's available free if you participate in the Freebie Progressive Challenge at The Outlawz and in the All Dressed Up digi shop.  For the tag and outside border, I used Scenic Views from We Are 3.  I used a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday set.

Be sure to pop over to The Outlawz to see the fabulous inspiration.

All You Need is Love

Took a little break today from scrapbooking to make a wedding card for a friend.

I cut the design from Wedding Card with Flower from the SVG Shop - embossed the top layer and border and adhered them to the card base.  I added a leaf and brad that have been in my stash probably as long as this svg file - since 2012.  LOL!

New Sentiments at We Are 3

There's new sentiments in the We Are 3 Etsy shop - today I'm using My Thoughts.  I am using the gorgeous Bokeh Blends for the background.

The flowers are a sticker outline from Elizabeth Craft Designs - with the flowers glittered.

Showcasing Sweetness for We Are 3

Here's a simple card using paper from We Are 3's Sweetness collection.  I think this gingham paper looks just like seersucker - taking me back to another place - another life.  LOL!  The fabulous sentiment is from the We Are 3 Hugs set, and I printed it with Tulip Owl  from 2 Cute Ink.

Creative Confetti "Emboss Like a Boss" Challenge

The Creative Confetti challenge this week at Power Poppy is "Emboss Like a Boss."  I had a lot of distractions this week, so my card is quite different from my first thoughts.  I decided that the cute Pumpkins and Pears would make a wonderful autumn card.  I framed the pumpkins with Victorian Christmas (We Are 3) and added some embossing to the pumpkin stand for a metallic look.  Conveniently, Power Poppy included a Thanksgiving sentiment to add.  Woo Hoo!  Please visit Creative Confetti to see the fab work by the Bloom Brigade - and pull out that embossing powder to play along.

Outlawz Challenges Sunday Songs and Rhymes - Let It Snow

The challenge this week for Songs and Rhymes is Let It Snow - Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! The sponsor this month is Stix2. All the product I used in my card are scraps from when I used to teach classes; and, although you can barely see it, I embossed the edges of the diamond shape.

The We Are 3 Autumn Flannel Release

I was so excited to see some buffalo plaid in the new Autumn Release this weekend because plaid flannel brings out the Michigan in me! I have no idea why, but when I see this plaid, I see Christmas. So I had to chuckle at the name of this collection - Autumn Flannel. This collection is chock full of fabulous plaids - including my favorite, black and white. I used this pattern to make two country-style Christmas cards - what's more country than Mason Jars? Then, to add some Christmas flavor, I added some computer-generated sentiments, and fussy cut some poinsettias. I added a little paper tape as a ribbon.

Masculine Birthday Gift Bag Swap at SALSA

Woo, hoo! I'm so excited for this month's gift bag swap at SALSA - using the Masculine Birthday theme. I was so inspired by the adorable birthday card I made for my neighbor that I had to make another mug for the gift bag swap. I used one of my fave We Are 3 digital papers for a little color (HoneyComb) and Father's Day Cheers Card from Dreaming Tree for the beer mug.

Happy Birthday!

I just bought the Father's Day Cheers Card from Dreaming Tree. I cut this out using my Eclips (#eclipsecalmaker) using digital paper from the free April Showers Scrapbooking Kit (Free Digital Scrapbooking), and used color correction in Word to create the two-tone colors. The sentiment is computer generated (Print2Cut). I wish Sizzix would include folder names on their embossing folders so I could share those as well. We all know what a pain in the ass masculine cards can be - so be sure to check this out at Dreaming Tree.
There's just enough dimension to keep this card interesting.  I popped the beer foam and the sentiment.  I made a mistake in layering, so had to inset the white pieces into the handle.  I think it's pretty darn cute!  So cute, I don't think I can even put it in an envelope!  LOL!  Will stick it on the gift of beer for all at the party to see.

Simply Crafty

I so love the Sizzix Eclips Users Group for SOOOO many reasons, but fun, inspiring challenges is the biggest reason. This project was inspired by the current challenge - Back to School. I used Love Shack (Simply Crafty) to make a schoolhouse. I'm really proud that I figured out how to add a steeple. Sooo much fun! The Love Shack file is available HERE. Hope everyone is all ready for the new school year. I will enjoy a cup of coffee on my couch on the first day of school - there are lots of teachers in my water aerobics class - ah, the memories when I hear them sharing the "getting-ready" stories.
