For this week's Power Poppy challenge, I created a simple card using a number of the fabulous stamp Acorn Ornaments from Power Poppy.
Here I not only have a card wishing Peace on Earth, but coloring these beautiful ornaments was the most peaceful time I've had this crazy week. I love how these turned out. I feared I couldn't do these justice after seeing others' work - but they just came all together easily. I realized that my peace is coloring images that are simple as these are. I enjoy single items such as these acorns much more than floral arrangements and bouquets and scenes and people. I prefer a simple single flower layer that I can build - that's what I like about these acorns - I am seeing using these a lot this Christmas season.November 5, 2020

Creative Confetti "Emboss Like a Boss" Challenge
The Creative Confetti challenge this week at Power Poppy is "Emboss Like a Boss." I had a lot of distractions this week, so my card is quite different from my first thoughts. I decided that the cute Pumpkins and Pears would make a wonderful autumn card. I framed the pumpkins with Victorian Christmas (We Are 3) and added some embossing to the pumpkin stand for a metallic look. Conveniently, Power Poppy included a Thanksgiving sentiment to add. Woo Hoo! Please visit Creative Confetti to see the fab work by the Bloom Brigade - and pull out that embossing powder to play along.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge: Birthday Wishes
I always enjoy participating in the Creative Confetti Challenge. There's a new one every Tuesday. Woohoo! The Creative Confetti Challenge always inspires me....but more than that my personal challenge is to take their theme and see how I can use files and papers I already have - sometimes a real struggle for me!
I used Print2Cut to make the lacy doily with my Eclips, using a Layered Doily from Monicas Creative Room. The sentiment and image are from Power Poppy's Pure Prairie Bouquet set. I digitally colored the bouquet. Then I matted and popped the bouquet and sentiment and called it done. I have to say - simple enough to make, but I love it.September 30, 2020
Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge
The past couple weeks have gotten a bit away from me....been hooked on making Pumpkin Wreaths...now out of my routine. Here's my card for the current Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge. I used one of my favorite Power Poppy images - Hollyberries. Isn't it gorgeous? I wanted to use scraps for this - and I love using nontraditional colors for holidays. The sketch had a matted layer on the top half of the circle - which I replaced with my Hollyberries. My middle border - that small piece - just perfect for this card - has been in my stash for years and years and years....there's always that little satisfaction when you use a really small scrap! The Hollyberries are colored digitally and cut with my Eclips. Added a sentiment from the same set and called it done. Be sure to stop by Power Poppy to see the fab inspiration from the Bloom Brigade - hope you can play along.

Layout for Creative Confetti
The Creative Confetti challenge this week is a Free for All! I chose to get caught up on my niece's scrapbook and create a two-page layout - accented with flowers from Power Poppy's Graceful Still Life.
The flowers are colored digitally. The title is from SVG Cuts, the deer from Star Jam Lines, the papers from Digital Crea, and the banner from We Are 3. I added sequins for some bling.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge
I love floral images - both coloring them and paper piecing them. While I love a beautiful bouquet or vase of flowers, I prefer sets with single flowers from various views and stages of growth - I love to layer and create my own dimensional arrangement. These are very hard to find in digital format, however. Here I colored and cut flowers from two sets - Pretty Petals (Miss Daisy) and Carnation Flower (Digital Pixel).
This card is inspired by this week's Creative Confetti Challenge - Tic Tac Toe. I selected the bottom row - Emboss, Sparkle, and Twine. I added a twine bow and some Stickles highlights to some of the flower centers - both for texture. The top and bottom of the card front is embossed with a musical note folder - you can see this better in the close-up below.
The patterned paper comes from We Are 3's Fairy Holiday. I added a sentiment from my We Are 3 stash. So off you go to the Power Poppy blog to see what wonderful cards others are making.

Creative Confetti - Gift Bag Project
Happy Tuesday! Time for another challenge at Power Poppy - this time Not a Card. Check out the fabulous sample they shared. Julie chose to make a Mask Reminder sign for her family - Mask Up, Buttercup! I couldn't help to make a gift bag for some masks I personalized for my sister and brother-in-law. I love a pretty gift bag! As I was browsing through my files this morning, the Sweet Simple Things caught my eye - just had to use it! For my background, I chose a wood texture from Design Bundles.
I used a pattern from Christmas Gift Bags (SVG Cuts) for the bag. I added some blue trim from my stash for a little extra pop. I wasn't quite sure whether I wanted to distress the wood. No distress doesn't do it for me - but I generally am not happy with my distressed work, either....so I decided to take the safe route and not to distress. I added some beads to the center for dimension.August 18, 2020
Creative Confetti Inside Out
A neighbor family has moved - the teenager is a budding artist and created the sentiment on my card. I am gifting her some Copics - can't wait for her to share her first Copic work with me! She is an amazing young woman.
It is Tuesday - so this is also inspired by the Creative Confetti challenge, of course - Inside Out. The framed image is falling out of the frame. I used a Beautiful Floral Bouquet from Charlene Tarbox. The flowers are colored digitally. I added some additional popped-up flowers to add some dimension - though difficult to see in this photo.

Creative Confetti Keep It Simple
Okay, tell me this mistletoe stamp is not gorgeous! This beautiful image, Stand Here, is one of my favorite digital stamps. I'm using it this week for the new Creative Confetti Challenge. The challenge is Keep it Simple, so I took a simple image and matted it. The sentiment is from my stash.

Power Poppy and a Sketch
Cuppa Buttercup is colored digitally - printed on digital patterned paper. I flipped the sketch and have my "ribbons" on the bottom....a big gem replacing the sketch's button (I've been wanting to find a good use for this big ol' gem!)
What fun I had with this - using some paper I purchased years ago for the background. Thanks so much, Power Poppy, for the glorious floral images!
