Happy Holidays

Yeah, I know I'm a little late for Christmas, but I ran out of cards last year and hope to have most of my Christmas cards made before December this year.  This adorable girl sending a letter from All Dressed Up is one of the images we received from this month's sponsor at Kerst Christmas.  All Dressed Up has all sorts of good stuff, for sure.

I just LOVE her!  I colored her digitally.  The scalloped square I used is Monica's Creative Room.

Christmas Presents

One good thing about having to color digital images, I can forget all the mess that's on my work desk behind me.  Since I had a little extra time on my hands today, I decided to practice clothing folds - digitally - using Christmas Presents from our sponsor at Kerst - All Dressed Up.  One thing nice about designing is that we are expected to use specific images - images that I would probably never buy - this forces me to color out of my comfort zone.

It is hard to see in the photo, buy my wings ARE actually transparent.  I can see the stars from the background through my wings.  By happenstance, I selected some paper for the background - I was looking for something with some pattern, but not too busy or loud.  By viewing the icons on the computer, I really wasn't sure what this pattern was until I loaded it up.  What a happy coincidence!  Our theme is stars - and this background paper just happens to be full of stars!!!!  How lucky could I get for my first choice!

I did calculate wrong when printing my image and sentiment - but was thrilled to find a solution by leaving a white border just on the sides rather than a full mat.  I was planning to mat and fussy cut my image - but I liked the bold sentiment - so decided if I went with a single-layer design, I could overlap the image and sentiment and have the best of both worlds\ for this month's Kerst Christmas Challenge.

Joy

I used Sledging Pup from our Kerst Challenge sponsor, All Dressed Up, a starry background (star is the theme), and a Joy sentiment.  Everything is digital - easy peasy!  The papers are from We Are 3 - Moon Desert (retired) and Just a Song.  I also have a touch of Real Wood Textures in there from Design Bundles.

Lovely Easter Bunny

I'm loving all the cute Easter images by All Dressed Up and decided to use Easter Bunny for my design for the Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz.  The patterned oval was created with Monica's Creative Room's Lattice 46.  Easter Bunny was colored digitally.

Design for the Kerst Christmas Challenge

Well, trying to get adjusted to adding the Kerst Christmas Challenges to my calendar.  You can see all the great inspiration HERE.  I just love that I now have inspiration to get my Christmas cards made throughout the year.

I love to frame my favorite images, so I used a wreath from Winter Frost (Hungry JPEG), along with Christmas Hugs from our sponsor.  It just so happens All Dressed Up is sponsoring the Kerst Christmas Challenge this month.  I sized the image to fit my frame.  Kind of a challenge because of her reindeer antlers, but aren't they cute?  I had a nice sentiment in my stash - and added the poinsettias.  My background paper is Moody Night (We Are 3) - the filigree is Lattice 50 from Monica's Creative Room.

I had a ball coloring her digitally.  If you like delicate and girlie images, be sure to check out All Dressed Up.

Freebie Progressive January

Tell me this isn't the yummiest little Rainbow Girl ever seen!  I had fun coloring her.  She's available free if you participate in the Freebie Progressive Challenge at The Outlawz and in the All Dressed Up digi shop.  For the tag and outside border, I used Scenic Views from We Are 3.  I used a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday set.

Be sure to pop over to The Outlawz to see the fabulous inspiration.

The Outlawz - Freebie Progressive Challenge

This month's Freebie Progressive Challenge is called Stars and Back. Here's my challenge card. I colored the image digitally, used some scraps from Free Digital Scrapbooking, and Voila! I look forward to each month's freebie - almost forgot this one, though.
