Birthday Fire Pit

Since I've been busy for so long, it was a big deal for me to take on a new type of file.  This file is part of the Camp Firefly Kit from SVG Cuts.  It's available in the shop HERE. I took my time selecting papers - not that you can tell from the photo.  LOL!  It was really pleased with how easy it was to assemble.  I used some old southwest paper for the flames....odd pattern, but I do like the variety of flame colors.  

Cactus Cooler

Dug deep into my stash for old American Crafts Cactus Cooler paper and used an old photo box svg from SVG Cuts.  Added some embossing and ribbon and called it done.

This photo box is the perfect size to hold one baby onesie for a gift.

New Challenges at Eclips Users Group and Featured Stamper

There's another new challenge from the Ecal Users Group.  I always gt  kick out of Jan's challenge ideas, but I've gotta say this card is one of my faves. It takes a lot for me to pull out the embossing powder, but I knew immediately I wanted to add some dimension to this fun card.  I had loads of blue-patterned papers in my stash from We Are 3 projects, so I had not trouble choosing colors for the fabulous Lighthouse Scene from Bird's Cards.

I was inspired by this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast, who had created a porthole card.

My tag today was inspired by a presentation during the Card Maker Success Summit.  The flowers are colored digitally.  The sentiment is from my stash.

Creative Fabrica Ink Flowers

A new challenge starts today at the Eclips Users Group with the theme of Spring Tags.  Who doesn't get a warm, fuzzy feeling from a colorful heart? 

The adorable paper patterns are Ink Flowers (available in Creative Fabrica).  I printed the dotted pattern inside the heart - the banner is also from that collection.  Gotta say, I am in love with this collection!

I added a sentiment on the banner and threads I've had in my stash forever!  

The tag itself comes from the SVG Cuts ID Tags set.

Showcasing Winter Serenity, Wonderland, and Warm Wishes

There's a new challenge at Paper Ala Mode - The Outlawz.

For the flower/bow, I printed a pattern from the Winter Serenity on tissue paper so I could have a package topper in the same color scheme.

Finally, I finished the package up with a huge tag using Wonderland and the new Warm Wishes.  Now for me, the fun of these challenges is seeing all the different projects completed using the same paper collection.  Remember, this is the last challenge of the year running through December 17.

Autumn

Our new Paper Ala Mode Challenge for The Outlawz begins today with the theme of "Autumn."  We'd like you to make a paper project that reflects your love for the Fall season.  Maybe it's the colorful leaves, or pumpkins, or just the cooler temps.  I chose the beautiful papers called Pumpkin Delight.  These papers evoke the beauty of Autumn.

Bee-zy Easter

You know I love me some scrapbooking - I am using the adorable Bumble Bee collection for one of my Grandson's current book.  I made the title using a file from SVG Cuts.

Splatters for We Are 3

It's a simple card using one of the designs from the Splatters collection.  The flowers are a decoupage set I found on Etsy - The border is Lace Border from SVG Cuts.  Be sure to stop by We Are 3's Facebook Page to see the fab makes by the design team. 

Mostly Dots - Make it Witchy

It's nearly St. Patrick's Day!  Well, you would think I'd have a shamrock-filled project today, but instead I have a Halloween project!  Can never begin Halloween treat holders too early! As I began thinking about how to use the new Mostly Dots collection, I browsed through my list of project ideas - Inspiration I find and stash away.  Back in 2012, I had stashed away a Halloween lollipop holder idea - the inspirational photo used patterned paper in shades of gray and autumn colors.  I just had to use Mostly Dots for this project! 

Along with Mostly Dots, I used Autumn Flannel from We Are 3. 

 

The Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge

Well, the holidays are here - and we're keeping a low profile this year. The hubs is all nestled in bed, and other than taking gifts from their hiding places, I have nothing to do. So here is a simple, generic card - a break from Christmas designs.

So I used this pretty image from Power Poppy (Big Ol Bow).  I used paper from Sizzix.  The sentiment is from SVG Cuts.  I just realized the sentiment is an svg - and I inserted it into a Word document....I did not know Word could read svg files - that explains why formatting tools were totally different.
