Ecal Users - Autumn Challenge

The Ecal Users Group current challenge is autumn themed, as well as being sponsor specific to Simply Crafty SVGS. I must say - time is perfect! I found an inexpensive pumpkin decor at Walmart this morning....but needed something else to spruce it up in my entryway. Anyway, after browsing through Simply Crafty's files, I decided upon the Display Stand. I used Autumn Woodland (We Are 3) to create the stand, as well as a simple mat (Background Shapes - Miss Kate Cuttables). The original size was perfect for the tiny pumpkin I bought. Don't forget - if you love Autumn papers, We are 3 is the place to be. There's lots of beautiful autumn-themed papers in the Etsy shop.

Outlawz Freebie Progressive

I really enjoy the Freebie Progressive Challenge at The Outlawz because I use it to practice coloring images I might not otherwise color. I was so thrilled to find this month's - how generous of our sponsor Imagine That Digistamp! I used the image with a cherry on top - Hah, I thought it was an apple for my fall-themed paper choice! Now have you ever seen an apple on top of a pumpkin spice latte? Don't know what I was thinking! The sentiment is from their Coffee Sentiment set.

Splitcoast Stampers - Featured Stamper Challenge

Just never seems to be enough time to craft like I would like. So today is another simple card. I used paper from the Autumn Woodland (We Are 3). The sentiment is from my stash. The inspiration is from this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast.

Stick It Down Challenge Blog

Do you find yourself counting the days until Stick It Down has a new sketch? Lately I've been on their site first day of the month; their blog really gives my mojo a shot in the arm. When I'm trying to get caught up on my scrapbooking, I drop everything when I can be inspired by a sketch challenge. This inspiration for this layout is this cool sketch - I didn't choose the best photo for such a layout. Probably more appropriate for a portrait photo. But I'm still happy with the final results.

I did turn the sketch upside down for my layout.  For a little color, I did add some elements digitally colored with paper patterns from Just Autumn from We Are 3.

Look Up and More We Are 3 Favorites

Here's a layout I created for our trip to Organ Pipe. The cactus embellishments are from We Are 3 (Camille's Cactus and Camille's Cactus Flower). I also added a couple We Are 3 sentiments from Cactus Greetings and Cactus Thoughts.  The background paper is Look Up.

                

Little Stars Digital Papers

In case you haven't noticed, I love the Little Stars collection because the colors are so bright and happy. For quick embellies, I like to just cut our various stars from the pattern. Be sure to stop by the We Are 3 Etsy shop - Bonnie is adding things almost daily.

Here it is - one of my favorite challenge themes - and I resorted to a very simple card. The paper is from the Just a Song Collection (We Are 3). 

This very simple and quick card is my design for the Paper Ala Mode challenge - Hobbies. I simply printed and cut the train - added a glittered border - added a sticker from my train stash. If you'd like to join us, check out the challenge at Paper Ala Mode.

We Are 3 Digital Papers from the Dragonflies in Flight Collection

This week at Power Poppy, the Creative Confetti Challenge calls for metal. I wanted to multi-task and make a layout for a friend, as well as enter the challenge, so I had a bit of a tough time coming up with something with an image I could color. This time I used Happy Bird 2 from Doodle Pantry. The title is computer generated, and I added a metal heart to the bottom left of the layout. The papers are from the Dragonflies in Flight collection from We Are 3. Isn't this paper gorgeous? However, my camera has made the turquoise much too blue here.

Of course, I popped the bird for some dimension.

We Are 3 Garden Layout

Happy Summer! Hope your summer has been full of love. I thought I'd sneak in this quick layout. I love the fun pinks and blues of the Look Up collection. While this is actually a clean and simple design, I do the color combo of pink and blue, and I think the flowers turned this layout into something quite elegant.

We Are 3's Just Autumn

If you're a regular visitor to my blog, you know I'm a designer for We Are 3. I so love digital papers - the flexibility is just my cup of tea! They give me the opportunity to complete a complete scrapbook without fear of running out of coordinating papers. I can't believe I am working on the fifth scrapbook for my oldest grandchild. Here I resized a sheet of Just Autumn to get a tiled effect. I used some alphabet letters from my stash for the title. 

Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper Challenge - J R Holbrook

This week at Splitcoast Stampers, Judy Holbrook is the Featured Stamper. After being inspired by several of Judy's creations, I finally settled on her Before the Storm to case. It seemed to be an easy single-layer card.

For the background, I used beautiful Ceremonie digital paper from Sarayane.

I used Dreaming Tree's Scarecrow Paper Scape file for the scarecrow, and then added Bat Boo from Miss Kate Cuttables.  The twine at the bottom was knotted a few times to resemble Judy's dimensional fiber. 

I matted the single layer with black and orange.

We Are 3 Dragonflies in Flight Scrapbook Layout

I love scrapbooking for my grandsons - but I always wanted a little girl to scrap for. My sister has a friend who has a daughter who's been through some rough times....village chipping in now. So I offered to start a scrapbook of her new life in my sister's small town (actually small island). For the album, I chose to use We Are 3's Dragonflies in Flight - not really girlie, girlie - but I love the pink and turquoise color combo against the neutrals.

I used paper from the Just For You collection for the background. The bear is Starburst Bear, and I've also used the new White on Black sentiments. For a little something different, I made this into a gatefold card.

 

Festive Friday Challenge

In celebration of my birthday, this month We Are 3 created all kinds of Cactus fun. Here's a card using Cactus paper, Camille's Cactus, Camille's Cactus Flower, and Cactus Greetings. These collections are way fun!

The Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge

This week at Power Poppy is a Creative Confetti challenge with a few options - I chose to go with two of the options - a tag inspired by nature. I used the Up 2 No Good Tag from Simply Crafty in paper from the Fairy Backgrounds collection at We Are 3. The flowers are Pansies from Power Poppy - I'm not sure pansies are available in these colors. But my true inspiration is my Mexican Bird of Paradise in beautiful hues of red, orange, and yellow. Since I can't find a digital stamp of a Mexican Bird of Paradise (hint, hint, Power Poppy), I just used its colors for inspiration.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge and Wow! What a Birthday Gift

I'm playing catch up on Creative Confetti challenges at the Power Poppy blog since I wasn't able to get to my craft table for the past few weeks.  Last week, the challenge was to Make it Shimmer!  For this challenge, I made a treat box with an acetate lid - embellished with a belly band and some Cactus decor.  For the shimmery inspiration from Power Poppy, I sprayed the cactus with some metallic shimmery spray paint...difficult to see in the above photo, so here is a close up of the shimmery cactus.
