Power Poppy's Creative Confetti Challenge

The days just seem to be flying by - here it is the end of the week and I remembered the Creative Confetti Challenge. This week, Power Poppy is featuring a sketch challenge. I only colored the butterfly - the background circle comes from Watercolor Textures (Design Bundle) Guess I could have colored my own circle - just didn't think of it when I saw the watercolor circles already in my files.
The butterfly and sentiment come together from Retirement Sentiments by Whimsy Stamps.

Now for the good part - you, too, can join the challenge at Power Poppy.  The entries so far are fabulous.  You have until the end of the month.

We Are 3 April Release

This week at We Are 3, we are releasing beautiful butterfly patterns. As usual lately, I made a simple card - also including a new sentiment and a cute little image perfect to go with the Twins sentiments. I thought it would be fun to accent the card with some little butterflies.
By the way, if you haven't been to the We Are 3 store recently, you must go!  Bonnie has been sooo busy - there are some fun new items available.

Fairly plain and simple - I love the Birds of a Feather, though.  Be sure to check out the We Are 3 Facebook Page to see fabulous cards from the design team.

Howdy

I made this card for this month's mystery item at our local scrapbook group, SALSA. The mystery item is the fiber in the background. I always try to think of a more original use for our mystery items - but when I held this fiber up against the denim in We Are 3's new release, Howdy, I had to add it. Against the denim, it just so reminds me of my most comfortable, frayed jeans. The image is Graceful Still Life from Power Poppy. I embellished it a bit with a button, bow, and some extra dimensional flowers.

Hello, Everyone!  I'm here with a card starring Graduation Owl (Kadoodle Bug) and Brick Fire Station (We Are 3).  I am really in love with the colors of this paper collection.

A Bouquet of Chocolates

Hello, Friends!  A new project from We Are 3 - a little inspiration using one of my favorite collections from the March Release - Hearts in Love.  To create a treat cone, I used "Bouquet," cutting half circles to create the cone.  I then cut a rosette out of  "Dependable."  I accented the rosettes with leaves from the Romantic Garden Collection.  Lastly, I embellished to rosettes with golden gems . . . and filled them with chocolate for visiting relatives.

Spreading Love with Family Scrapbooks

Over a year ago, my husband and I "inherited" boxes of old family photos.  My in-laws expected me to scan and share all the photos...of course, my mind immediately thought scrapbooks for each family!  These albums are slow moving - so far my in-laws haven't asked whatever happened to those photos  but I can't wait to finish and showcase them at a family gathering!  Here is the latest layout.
The layout is inspired by the current challenge at Scrap Our Stash.

Throwback Thursday for my In-Laws

Thanks for joining me today for the first page of the family album for my husband's siblings - where it all began with their parents' wedding.  The layout is inspired by the February sketch challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles.

Another Circle Background

Since I had the cutting file all ready to go, I decided to use the same idea as my last post for a circle effect (inspired by Michigan Scrapbooker, Winter 2011-2012) using my electronic cutter.  A nice simple layout.

Blogaversary with Get Creative Challenges

Today, Get Creative Challenges is celebrating their first Blogaversary!  So many incredible ideas and projects over the past year.  Enjoy birthday ideas on the blog today!

We have two sponsors today - Limited R
uns Stamps and Angies Cards and Digis.

First, I am using this incredible digital image from Limited Run.  I love cupcakes - these Snowie Cupcakes from Limited Runs are simply amazing!  The cupcake sentiments are from Scrap-n-Font.
When selecting a second image for the Blogaversary, this image from Angie's Cards & Digis (Little Lila Drinking Cocoa) reminded me of sweet birthdays.  This image is perfect for Christmas as well.  I used Adobe Photoshop on this first image.

Now I have one more card using Little Lila Drinking Cocoa.  This is my first attempt using polychromous pencils.  While I'm not thrilled with my completed image, I am thrilled that at least my first attempt is presentable - which I can't say using Copic marker, inks, and watercolor pencils.

Be sure to join us in the birthday fun by linking your birthday card - there's prizes!

Sweet Smiles of Summer

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

I first have to thank my awesome followers.  I love hearing from you...and visiting your blogs when I get a chance.

Today, I have a scrapbook layout for you that I created for my grandson's book - the photos will show him having some summer fun - playing in the mud, his first swim in the pool, eating by himself the first time, swinging in the park, drinking water from the tub faucet - and a great picture of him tuckered out and sleeping on Grandpa's shoulder.

My inspiration came from Get It Scrapped - an article on giving your photos a story.

This project is entered into My Whimsical Little World's Challenge - Anything Goes.

A Spacey Happy Birthday to Damien!

How I look forward to celebrating my grandson's 1st birthday!  But I was a bit stumped on his birthday card....until inspired by Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge #407.  The rest of my inspiration came from one of our birthday gifts for him.

We are giving him this fun Deep Space comforter.  When I saw the circles on Mojo Monday's sketch - there was that aha! moment!

The comforter explains my choice of colors - dark grey is not typically used for a baby's card. The Planet on the front is on a Wobble. I truly had too much fun making this!

Files used include Pretty Sun and Space Set - both from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Circles of Memories - Scrapbook Challenge #444

Hi, All!  Happy Wednesday!
444
Today's post features Sketch #444 from Scrapbook Challenge.  Such a fun layout - with photos in circles!  Just had to use it!

I used the title from Miss Kate Cuttables - Magical Words Set.  And besides circles, I used a topper from SVG Cuts One-Piece Boxes.  The hearts are also from Miss Kate Cuttables - Jar of Hearts.
