Spring Tags at Eclips Users Group

Today's tag is pretty simple, using some digital paper from the 50's Diner Doodle Pantry Check pack from Doodle Pantry, and I dropped some flowers on top from the Bouquet of Red Poppies - I changed the flowers to blue using Word.

Scrap Squad December Sketch Layout

Oh, WOW!  Missed the deadline for the December sketch (I was secretly hoping I'd get more Christmas photos).  Well, time is gone, but I finally completed the layout.  The papers are from the April Showers collection from Free Digital Scrapbooking.  I did add a little Christmas color behind some of the photos - gingham paper I recolored from the Doodle Pantry 50's Diner collection.   I cut and glittered snowflakes. the "first" from the title is from Love SVG.  The title is assembled with a combination of SVG and digital.  Woo Hoo!  It's finished!

Just for You

Autumn is definitely on the way, and I know most of you will be enjoying beautiful fall colors. Here in Arizona, however, it's pretty much the same old thing. LOL! So, today I am sharing a card with a Palo Verde fkiwer - or should I say, an "altered" Palo Verde as Palo Verde blossoms are actually yellow - and don't get large enough to be put in a vase.
The papers come from the Just For You collection at We Are 3. The sentiment, also from We Are 3, is from the Autumn collection.  Get these today at We Are 3 - Last day for 40% off everything!

Valentine Treat Bag

Hello, Everyone!  I hope you're ready for Valentine's Day.  It's hard to believe we are celebrating another holiday already.  Where does the time go?  This passage of time brings us to the monsoon season here - guess our beautiful winter weather will be leaving us for a while - not my favorite time of year.  This evening I wanted to share a fairly quick treat bag.  It has many possibilities - I made a rather generic bag, but plan to use it for some Valentine treats.

This little treat bag comes from SVG Cuts - Spring Pals Treat Sack.  I topped it off with Josephine Clematis from Doodle Pantry.  The paper comes form Digital Scrapbooking Experts - Blessings and Baptism.  I did recolor the houndstooth pattern inspired by this week's Hues to Use at Power Poppy.  These colors are soooooo elegant!!!!!

September SALSA Swap

After admiring all kinds of tags made using mixed media, I decided to see if I could replicate the feel using digital papers.  I chose Miss Daisy, a We Are 3 Collection.  Using GIMP, I created three tags with three coordinated sheets of paper.  I then used the eraser to randomly erase sections of the top two layers.  I got exactly what I wanted.  It may look like a single paper pattern to you (which was my goal) - but if you look carefully, it moves from a striped pattern at the top to a dotted pattern in the middle to a floral pattern at the bottom.
This is a 5-1/4" X 3" tag.  I designed it for the SALSA tag swap - theme is Inspire Me.

Pop of Pumpkins

Today I'm sharing another card using We Are 3's Pumpkin Delight.  This time I printed the Patch design at 5-1/2" to create the background.  I printed the same digital paper 15 1-3/4" for the vertical accent strip.  I used the Letter design from the collection to paper piece the flowers.  I added a background for the flowers using the Farm Fresh design behind the flowers - changing the opacity to 50% so there's a bit of color, but it's not as bright as the pumpkins and flowers.

Groom's Mother

Today's post features a layout featuring my mother-in-law at our wedding - and some pretty little blossom accents.
To create this layout, I used digital papers from two We Are 3 collections - Stamping Studio Welcome Package and Burlap Beach.

It's a Burlap Wedding

Today I made a wedding card for my cousin's wedding next week.  I used digital papers from Doodle Pantry (Holy Land Flowers) and Free Digital Scrapbooking (Go Green).  I decided to add a burlap flower, as her wedding invitations were made from burlap.

Romantic Garden - Toasty Warm

How is your week going?  Are you creating beautiful things this week?  My allergies have kicked my rear the past few weeks - and I've considered myself lucky if I can drag myself to my craft table each day to make anything.  I enjoy Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper on Sundays - having been featured in the past, I always try to support the week's Featured Stamper.  This week, I found a card on her site that was quick and easy...so I dug into my Table Scraps and made this very simple sympathy card.

We Are 3© Digital Paper - Romantic Garden        We Are 3© Digital Paper - Toasty Warm Collection. Includes all 8 sheets per collection.

Inspiration from Featured Stamper

The work of this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers is gorgeous!  For some reason, her gallery inspired me to start working on my bridal album - after 12 years of marriage!  My layout today focuses on fittings for my wedding gown. Colored wedding gowns are common today - but it was back in the 70s when I saw a blue wedding gown and decided mine would be green.  Little did I know that it would be 30+ years later that I would be in search of my green wedding gown...and how difficult it would be to find.  I love it when fate steps in and I found my wedding gown designer as my hubby-to-be was channel surfing one day.  My gown is one of a kind with 300+ piano pleats in the exact color I dreamed of for 30+ years (Is her gown green or white?)

Doggies and Things

I'm always in need of more pet-themed cards - and I love to send cards with fun, cute dogs and cats.  So today I have created a clean-n-simple birthday card featuring Doggies and Things by Doodle Pantry.
