I'm gearing up for Halloween - well, when I looked at myt scraps of Painted Strokes, I just thought a small Halloween treat would be perfect. This small treat carrier uses a piece of paper only 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" - and a simple embellishment. Great use of scraps and stash!

Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper Challenge
Good morning! Hope you had a lovely weekend. The card is inspired by this week's Featured Stamper card at Splitcoast. The card I CASED was inked, but i instead created the effect with digital patterned papers from Ladybug Lace Too. The sentiment is We Are 3's Baby Wishes.

The Creative Confetti Challenge and Teacake with Strawberries
The challenge at Power Poppy this week is Tag, You're It.
I started with pulling out my Fuse Tool and some plastic and make a tag I could fill with sequins for a shaker tag. The image is Tea Cake with Strawberries from Power Poppy. I added some paper flowers for accents. If you love coloring as much as I do, go have a play at the Creative Confetti Challenge!

Look Up - It's Snowing
This month at We Are 3, we have lots of new releases. For this layout, I chose Snowman Wonderland and Snowman Scene for my embellishments - I thought they fit nicely with my holiday photos. The patterned papers are from the Look Up collection, and the holly accent is from the Holly Berry collection. I printed small version of the snowmen and created tags, accented with burlap string. Be sure to take a look at all the yummy cards the design team has created for the January release.

Hot Pepper Wishes!
Today I have a "hot" card I made using a "mystery item" for our local SALSA group. The mystery item was the patterned paper used in the left panel, complete with red and green peppers. I found some complementing red and green papers from We Are 3's Holiday Letters collection. I cut out some peppers from the mystery item to embellish. Don't you just love the red-glittered peppers?

Get Ready for Another Challenge
Another sketch challenge. Thank you, Scrapbook Challenges, for always creating inspirational challenges that encourage me in my creative life.
Not all that pleased with my page - though layouts are always enhanced once pictures are added. Unfortuantely, I don't get to share these great layouts with my grandson's pictures. In hindsight, I needed to spritz this page - but wasn't in the mood for a mess (which is what that always means to me).
For the journaling, I used lyrics from Tiny Dancer (Tim McGraw). These lyrics will describe my pictures perfectly, as the pictures I had to work with for this layout were of Damien driving his little Playskool car, having fun in every child's favorite toy - a cardboard box, one of him sleeping in the Playskool car, and one of him wrapped all up in a University of Michigan blanket - sleeping with the dog. I'm not a journaler - and hate my handwriting - so often rely on song lyrics for my journaling - I smiled when I read these words and how they described Damien's day perfectly.
