Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge

This week at Power Poppy, the Creative Confetti challenge is to create a slim-line card. The image I chose came from Be My Honey (Little Scraps of Heaven). I colored the image digitally. The sentiment is from Family Fun (Digital Scrapbook Experts).
I decided to keep it pretty CAS.  I thought the kraft paper and plaid looked a little rustic.  I popped the image.  I'm really pleased with how the beehive turned out.

Creative Memories and Heart Layout

After creating a basic two-page layout with Diane Porrazzo, Creative Memories consultant, I added the finishing touches to complete the pages. The papers are Positive Vibe from Digi Crea.

Stick it Down and We Are 3

This month at Stick it Down, the single-page sketch is beautiful and fun to work with. I'm a abig fan of layout sketches, so this is always a fun challenge for me. I love to combine digital and traditional scrapbooking with papers from We Are 3. Digital scrapbooking saves time - especially with large titles as seen on this layout. I chose to flip the sketch horizontally.
The patterned papers are from the Little Star collection at We Are 3.  The letters in YOU are Grid Alphabet from Free Scrapbooking....recolored turquoise to match the papers.

Be sure to stop by Stick It Down and check out how everyone used the sketch, and stop by We Are 3 to browse delightful work from the Design Team.

Romantic Hearts - New Release

My card today is Pinterest inspired. The papers are from the new Romantic Hearts collection. Quick and easy card to make.
The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch.  This was so easy to do - I'll be making more for sure.

Featured Stamper Challenge #659

This week at Splitcoast Stampers, the Featured Stamper challenge is featuring JanTInk - I love her gallery! For this card, I used a paisley pattern from the new Howdy Autumn. I printed the paper in two sizes so I could use a large paisley for the background of my sentiment - and a small paisley for the background. For this paper, click HERE at We Are 3's Etsy shop. I wanted to also use the Get Well sentiment from the All-Occasion set. I actually goofed up some when cutting my sentiment - but I love the final outcome - so no worries. The borders are from Lace Border from SVG Cuts (I added the dots on top).

Gift Bag

Here's a little gift bag I decorated for a gift bag of gift bags.
Instead of a sentiment, I decided to use the heart stickers from my stash.

The Outlawz Progressive Challenge

The Progressive Challenge this month is to use Sheepski Designs Bear Love. Isn't it cute?
I decided to digitally paper piece the "love." I finished it off by adding some faux stitching and simple layering. I'm loving the Progressive Challenge - and what a fun way to get a surprise digi and challenge each month.

Another Paper Ala Mode Challenge

Okay, I'm becoming a little obsessed with Sandra Caldwell's work. This week's challenge is something a little different - in fact, anything different than a card. I used Tattoo Hippo from our sponsor, Sandra Caldwell, for this fun Post-It Note holder.

Buttons and Lace at SALSA

Today I'm sharing a card for the Mystery Item for our local SALSA swap.  We received some pink crocheted fringe with buttons hanging from it.
I pulled my decorative scissors out to free-cut the background squares, and I popped up die-cut hearts to give my card a little dimension.  I embellished my card with the mystery item - I cut up the piece of crocheted fringe and took off the buttons to glue directly to the front of my card.  I used papers I found from my first attempt at my wedding album.

My Mystery Item

Hello!  I am really excited today to be posting a card made with this month's "Mystery Item" from SALSA.  I often stare at these items and go blank.  But when I received this mystery item - a white photo corner - I could envision my card immediately.  And I love how my photo corner/cabin transition turned out!

Here is my card - We Are 3 provided the digital papers for me - Winter Serenity and Exotic Seaside.  What a fun combination!  The sentiment is from Miss Kate Cuttables - Love.

Viney Valentine

Hello, Everyone!  I'm here today with a card starring Viney Flourish from Fred She Said.  It's a perfect addition to floral images and versatile for any occasion.  As for my card today, I mixed it with Blue Blossoms to create a Valentine bouquet.
The three layers of a Heart Doily are from Miss Kate Cuttables.

My First Layered and Glittered Design

I did this design several weeks ago, but never got around to posting it here.  I'm still learning - for instance, even after watching several videos and placement, when I eyed it up, I thought it was too low - when completed, very much too high.  Guess those people in the videos knew what they were speaking of.  However, when reviewing sizing charts, seems 3" x 3" was the size I should use.  Wow - do you know how small that is?  Instead, I went with 6".  Glad I didn't listen to them about that!  This is for my neighbor who turned one year old last week.

Neebish Subway Art

Today's project features my first vinyl project (drum roll here).  I was inspired by the current challenge at Sizzix eClips and eCal Users Group - using Subway Art.  I made this for my sister who lives on a small island in Michigan.

Digital Card

Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm here with a digital card for the Digitally Made Challenge #2.  I started with some bright digital papers from Free Digital Scrapbooking.  Then I added balloons from Heart Balloons.  Next I used GIMP to color the bird from Everyday Birdies.  To finish off my card, I added a quote with a black border.

Also entering this card in Challenge #10 at Angie's Digital Stamps.

A Day in my Life

It's been 12 years and my first attempt at a wedding album is at the bottom of a closet somewhere - but some challenges in the past week for some reason inspired me to give it a second try to create something to look at to remember that occasion.  For those of you in a crafty slump - these challenges can help you out.  For today's layout, I decided to use the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy (January, Week 3)...I turned their sketch upside down.  The hard part is already done for you!  Happy Crafting!

Here today with a layout for my grandson's scrapbook.  I was inspired by a layout from Scrapbooks, etc. (April, 2011) by Lisa Dorsey.

Glittered Daisy Patch

Daisy Patch was one of my first Heartfelt Creations stamp/die set - and still one of my favorites.  Today I'm showcasing die-cut flowers and how they work great all glittered up on colored cardstock, while still keeping their simplicity. I wanted to keep the flowers the focus of my card, but they needed something, so I embossed the background using the Houndstooth embossing folder.  My photo doesn't do this gorgeous card justice - the glittered flowers are something you just have to see in real life!
