Thank You

Hard to believe Summer is over!  Though it is difficult to tell here in Sunny Sahuarita - it's just one beautiful day after another.  If there's anything I miss living here is the seasons - so I keep the seasons alive through my papercrafting.  This month's new release from We Are 3 - Seasonal Backgrounds - celebrates seasons with a unique variety of backgrounds - lots of color and plenty of fun!

To create my card for today, I used Winter Windows from the Seasonal Backgrounds Collection and a freebie Thank You sentiment from SVG Cuts.  I printed the sentiment and a dashed oval on a solid background.  Last of all, I cut an oval in the Seasonal Background - finishing it off by popping up the top layer.

I'd love to see what you create with Seasonal Backgrounds, so stop by the We Are 3 Facebook Page and share your creativity using We Are 3 products!

Digital Card

Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm here with a digital card for the Digitally Made Challenge #2.  I started with some bright digital papers from Free Digital Scrapbooking.  Then I added balloons from Heart Balloons.  Next I used GIMP to color the bird from Everyday Birdies.  To finish off my card, I added a quote with a black border.

Also entering this card in Challenge #10 at Angie's Digital Stamps.

Thank You

I am back with a card inspired by the challenge at Outlawz Challenges - Distress It!  Once the watercoloring is completed, this is really a clean and simple card using Thank You included in the Card Phrase Set (Miss Kate Cuttables).

Sweet Paris

Today I took a class with a "Parisian" theme.  We made three cards - then brought home lots of "cut aparts" to be able to make another nine.  I actually made sixteen cards in total.  Not bad for a day's work!  They are clean and simple - yet elegant.

The was really an amazing kit.

Football Thank You

Today I received my first gift for Grandparents' Day - from my three-month-old grandson.  In true cardmaker fashion, I want my grandsons to appreciate gratitude - and no better time to start than to send a thank you for my first gift.

We don't live near Adrian, so mostly know him only through photos and Skype.  In our daily photo sent to all Grandma's, there is a running joke about his watching football - and the debate of his behavior during a football game determining whether he is a Steelers fan or a Lions fan.  So joining in the fun, I made him a shaped thank-you card - with a little Steeler embellishment and a little Lion embellishment.  The card was easy to make - I began with a freebie Thank-You Caption from SVGCuts.com.  I added both a Steelers Logo and Lions Logo.

This card is really a versatile idea and certainly not just for thank you or football!  Fun team embellishments are great for any card scrappin'.

Thank You Collection

Evening, All!

Today marks the fifth and final card in my latest Thank-You card order.

For today's cards, I wanted to use basic colors. I used turquoise and red - accented with black and white.

For most of the cards, I also used an svg file from SVGCuts.  The file is one of their freebies - Thank You Caption.  The roses on the last card are from Bugaboo.

Enjoy!

Sketch Saturday Challenge

Not sure who sent me to Sketch Saturday - but I'm becoming addicted - especially since OWH has changed their Sunday sketch challenge to every other week.  I am always behind on my card orders - and on weekends often rely on simple sketches and a little mass production to get my work done.  Sketch Saturday's challenge is always filled with cute cards and lots of smiles (especially from me when I get some work accomplished!)
This week, SVGCuts offered a freebie - perfect for my Thank You orders.  So I cut a bunch of those - and to increase production, decided to do some simple color blocking.
The first card is for Sketch Saturday's challenge - the sketch I used is #305.  I had hoped to use an image from Bugaboo - as they are this week's sponsors.  However, it's been over an hour since I ordered the image - and nothing yet.  So instead resorted to an image I already had from Whimsy Stamps - Baby Boo Balloon.
Here's a second card based on Sketch #285.

The rest of today's cards are using the freebie sentiment from SVGCuts - and some simple color blocking.

Several hours later . . . guess the digital image from Bugaboo was always in my inbox.  Silly me!  That I would be watching for an e-mail from Bugaboo, not Jodie!  Anyways, here's a quick card using the original image that inspired me first thing this morning.  :D But productive day....finished card order, cleaned house, laundry done!
Now feast your eyes upon the beautiful and inspiring cards at Sketch Saturday.  In fact, participate - The super prize offered this week is 7 Bugaboo digital stamps of the winner's choice.

Thank You! - Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #237

Hi Everyone,

Christmas is coming...ready or not :) Today I am bringing you a card that takes the holiday as a perfect time to let someone know how much you appreciate that person.  The design is from Operation Write Home's Sketch Challenge #237 - I took a little liberty with the center rectangle - as I already had the large thank-you scallop printed.

Have an amazing week!
