Power Poppy's Creative Confetti Challenge

The days just seem to be flying by - here it is the end of the week and I remembered the Creative Confetti Challenge. This week, Power Poppy is featuring a sketch challenge. I only colored the butterfly - the background circle comes from Watercolor Textures (Design Bundle) Guess I could have colored my own circle - just didn't think of it when I saw the watercolor circles already in my files.

The butterfly and sentiment come together from Retirement Sentiments by Whimsy Stamps.

Now for the good part - you, too, can join the challenge at Power Poppy.  The entries so far are fabulous.  You have until the end of the month.

Relaxation - Paper Ala Mode Challenge

Please join us at the Paper Ala Mode Challenge at Outlawz Challenges. This week's theme is Relaxation - sponsored by the Cutting Cafe. Doesn't an umbrella drink just scream relaxation? I'm using a a sentiment from the Circle Words Set by the Cutting Cafe.  I made my first triple-easel card...very difficult to photograph - but gorgeous to see!

Celebrate Retirement

Hello, Everyone!

I hope your Monday was amazing!  I got to play in lots of glitter today as I continued to stock Hobby Lobby's Christmas picks.  I actually enjoy that job - not a favorite of most employees.

Today I have another couple simple retirement cards - with, I believe, only one left to make for a while!  Yeah!  That means I get to start on my Yooper cards....they will be much more fun.  So here are a couple simple cards.

Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #235

Sunday is here and, as usual, Operation Write Home's weekly sketch challenge is in full bloom!  It's been my favorite time of the week because I have so many cards to make and sketches take most of the thinking out of it and I'm generally pretty productive.

Those of you who have been visiting me each Sunday must be thinking "Another RETIREMENT card?"  Still working on an order...I'm a bit tired of them myself.  LOL!

So here's OWH's sketch for today - and my cards.

Scraps & Cards

Hello, Everyone!

This weekend it was my plan to get closer to finishing my grandson's scrapbook....and to finish an order for retirement cards.  I ran out of cardstock for the scrapbook - won't be able to get more until Thursday.  So - silver lining - I'll be able to finish the retirement cards.  I was on a roll....finished (so I thought) and when I went to pack them up - realized I was only HALF finished!   Argggh!  I love to use sketches when I'm in a hurry - so I pulled out all the sketches from Operation Write Home - and started in on my scraps.  These are simple - but surprisingly got many done in a very short time.  If I can continue at this rate for the next couple days, I will be finished!  For sure!

Operation Write Home - Sketch Challenge #224

Have a fabulous and safe Sunday!  Check out Operation Write Home's weekly sketch challenge.  Take a look at the inspirational cards created using their sketch #224.

My contributions FINALLY finish up my retirement card order.  I'm grateful for OWH's weekly challenges, as they take out a lot of thinking on my part - and the job goes much quicker.

With Best Wishes

I wanted to create retirement cards using bright colors.  Leftover Christmas paper scraps did the job!
