Happy Halloween, Everybody! The current challenge at the Eclips Users Group is inking - so I thougt. I really need to read these challenges better! LOL! I did make this card in response - digitally inking around the layers of the card. I chose the adorable Halloween Owl from Miss Kate Cuttables.

The Creative Confetti Challenge and Teacake with Strawberries

The challenge at Power Poppy this week is Tag, You're It
I started with pulling out my Fuse Tool and some plastic and make a tag I could fill with sequins for a shaker tag.  The image is Tea Cake with Strawberries from Power Poppy.  I added some paper flowers for accents.  If you love coloring as much as I do, go have a play at the Creative Confetti Challenge!

Quick and Easy Nautical Card

My turn at We Are 3 using the July release papers and elements - I wanted to make something quick and easy.  This one is for those of us who are experiencing record-breaking temps and picked THIS SUMMER to not visit Michigan.  Just a little reminder - It's Cooler by the Lake!

Special Release

Hello!  I'm so excited to share my third card featuring Tea Time. I had so much fun making this pop-up card with a bird cage and bird.

Let's start at the bottom of the card and work our way up.  All background papers are from the newest Release Tea Time (We Are 3).  The focal point is from Bird Cage Silhouette from Raccoon Girl Design (Etsy).  The flower is Delicate Asters (Heartfelt Creations) - with leaves from Romantic Garden - with a bird from Bird Cage Silhouette.

What an exciting surprise inside!  Pops up a bird cage and bird using a pattern from Robert Sabuda.  This is the perfect way to create a gorgeous card for a special someone!

Be sure to take a look at the New June Releases for We Are 3.  You will see all the new papers and images for June.  Also visit their Facebook Page to see how our Design Team members use new products.

Notepad Holder with Dreamy Creamy We Are 3 Collection

Happy Saturday!  When I first saw the Dreamy Creamy Collection, I couldn't help but fall in love with the Dreamy Butterfly Overlay.  I knew I wanted to play to see how I can use that overlay to fit a project just perfectly.   I chose the latest free file from Dreaming Tree - Notepad Holder.  Wanted more control as to where my butterflies landed, so played around with Print2Cut feature on my eClips - sized the paper and the butterflies - then moved my svg file around the butterflies to get them to print and cut in just the right spot.  Voila!  I love how it looks so much, on my way to make a few more for Mother's Day gifts.  Think next I will try to resize the file to hold some of my cards - then make them to match.  Be watching for them!

Afterthough!  Trying to think of what I will put in the container for Mother's Day - my kids are not card senders, so cards would not be appreciated.  My afterthought is fill it with my own created notepaper to match with butterflies.  Can't wait to play!

We Are 3© Digital Paper - Dreamy Creamy Collection. Includes 1 PNG file shown plus all 7 sheets per collection. But you actually end up getting 14! See details.

A "Magic" Card with Baby Birdie

I like that We Are 3 often offers digital images both in black line and pre-colored.  That works especially well for making "magic" cards.  Here is a magic card "before and after."
A quick video showing how the magic card works.
There are a variety of tutorials for making magic cards - I used Unity Quick Tip

Ready to Shake for Groundhog's Day

Hi!  I am sharing a card for Groundhog's Day.  In my younger, wilder days - a friend and I turned Groundhog's Day into a special holiday of celebration.  30+ years later, we now live thousands of miles apart - yet we always take this one day of the year to reconnect.  This is the card I'm sending this year - loving it so much, think my grandkids each need one, too.

Inside, Phil is on a homemade wobble.  I decided on this design last night and realized I don't have any Wobbles left (or better yet, just can't be found)...a frantic search for Wobbles left me receiving them a good week or two after Groundhog's Day.  Gotta love You Tube - found a video for homemade Wobbles - now why didn't I think of that?  Here's Phil in action.

We Give Thanks for Friends

Guess what I did last night!  I cleaned off my craft desk - I can see the bottom!  And I went shopping in my stash and made this pick-up card.  What's really fun about using leftovers?  As I look at this card, I remember the Christmas cards I made a couple years ago (the ornate border on the left), and the scrapbook classes I taught (the friendship sentiment), and the gorgeous lattice cards I made (the "thinking of you" sentiment), the fun turkey tag I made for SALSA, and many years of friendship I found at the local scrapbook store that recently closed (The polka-dotted paper).  A fun little card - low budget by using all scraps that color coordinate.

Just Hard at Work

Isn't scrappin' grandchildren the most fun?  I love it!  Truly glorious!  I'm especially having a blast scrappin' my youngest grandson because the digi paper selection I picked is so bright and cheerful . . . it's a blast!

I wish I could share photos for my layouts - this layout shows my grandson hard at work.  He has claimed their kitchen pantry to be his office - complete with a Leapfrog tablet.  He has learned quickly to leave his work in the office - he never takes the tablet out to play with elsewhere.  And he only uses his office to "work" on his tablet.  Just too precious!  But then, we all know how biased I am.  At any rate, the layout shows him hard at work in his "office."

Plan for a Great Thanksgiving

I love how easy Cuttlebug's Maple Leaf die/embossing folder makes it to create a very special Thanksgiving tag!

Pure Prairie Bouquet

I am finding using digital stamps for my cards is so convenient, especially when I am making more than one card.  I adore the results I could get from using Heartfelt Creations floral stamps - but they haven't joined the digital world.  Power Poppy is the closest I've found, but they don't design build-a-flower sets like Heartfelt does.  What's a cardmaker to do?  Oh well - maybe in my next life I'll be a digital artist?

Today I am sharing my first card using Power Poppy's Pure Prairie Bouquet.  It was a pretty simple card once I realized I needed to adjust a setting on my cutter - It took me three hours, but what I learned will save me $$ as I discovered that I can use off-brand blades that cost 1/3 brand-name blades.  Yeah me!  Anyway - here's the birthday card I made.
