Romantic Garden - Toasty Warm

How is your week going?  Are you creating beautiful things this week?  My allergies have kicked my rear the past few weeks - and I've considered myself lucky if I can drag myself to my craft table each day to make anything.  I enjoy Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper on Sundays - having been featured in the past, I always try to support the week's Featured Stamper.  This week, I found a card on her site that was quick and easy...so I dug into my Table Scraps and made this very simple sympathy card.

I'm grateful to have you visit my blog today.  Today's layout shows you just about what I love doing most - scrapbooking my grandchildren's activities.  Unfortunately, I cannot post photos of my grandsons so you can see just how cute they are.

Remember the fun you used to have playing in the park?  My grandson loves to climb - This layout will feature him climbing some playground equipment (sorry, not allowed to post layouts with photos of the kids).  You can see I included a FUN banner, BROWN highlights with my BORDERS.

Pretty Birdie - Spring Brilliance

Good Morning!  I here today with a card that's a little extra special!  I love the new Pretty Birdie as she's just the perfect chick with a "spring" in her step.  Okay, the "spring" is actually beneath her - so this card has lots of movement.  Papers chosen for this card are also a new release for We Are 3 - Spring Brilliance.

         

Winter Wonderland CAS

Have you been busy at your craft table?  Today's card is for the Clean and Simple challenge at The Outlawz - quick and easy to do!  Two pieces of cardstock and a pre-made Christmas embellishment.  I didn't even have to shop for the embellishment - it was a gift from my daughter-in-law.  How much easier can you get?

Merry Christmas Snowflake Card

Hope this finds you having a great day! What's on your craft table today? Are you taking time to create something beautiful today? How about getting started on some simple Christmas cards and get a head start. I'm using Festive Friday at Outlawz Challenges to inspire me to get a jump on Christmas.

Romantic Ocean and Pure Prairie

How was your week?  I've been sick - and broke two dental crowns - so I'm in need of some cheery springtime inspiration.  I finally felt well enough this evening to make this spring card using papers from the Romantic Ocean Collection by We Are 3.  The flower is a single flower cut from Pure Prairie Bouquet (Power Poppy).

I love We Are 3 digital papers.  I fell in love with them when they shared a freebie for Christmas.  Digital papers are versatile as designs can be resized - and even lightened (perfect for tone-on-tone projects).  What's most awesome is that you print what you need when you need it - I have boxes of papers from paper packs that take up space in my craft room.  I will use that paper - someday.  With digital papers, however, the collection only takes up space on my hard drive.

Creativity with Digital Papers

Another layout for my wedding album - 12 years late!  I used two collections on this piece - Beach Burlap and Distress Burlap.  I played around a little with the Beach Burlap here - and will have to do more in the future.  I find that digital collections always have such vibrant colors when I see them online - yet when I print them, the colors often seem so faded - and any subtle prints nearly disappear.  When I photograph my work, the colors lose even more of their intensity.  So for my middle layer here, I darkened the digital paper in Photoshop - much more vibrant color...with the "crackle" design adding just enough colors to bring out my layout.  But, alas, another decision to make when printing my paper - when to darken....lol!
