Best Gift Ever
July is here! July is the perfect time for planning for Christmas. You know what our grandkids often love more than the toys - it's the packaging they come in. My missing photo here is of my grandson squeezed into a box - what kid can resist climbing into a box just their size? Every Grandma would admit - a package containing a grandkid is the Best Gift Ever!

Floral Card with DCWV
Today I'm using cardstock from DCWV to create a floral card. I'll admit - this cardstock has been sitting in my stash for years and I am just now getting to it to use!

Out of Yellow Ink
Maybe next time your printer runs out of colored ink, you can just keep printing - why not? I'm treating myself to a new 12 x 12 printer - but had a stock of ink for my current printer. So I decided I'd run this ink dry before investing in the new printer. This was a fun thing - the flowers on today's cards are the same as the flower on yesterday's card...in the meantime, I ran out of yellow ink - so instead of the vibrant yellow and orange flower, I have these pretty pink and white flowers. A true scrapper never lets anything go to waste - therefore, these faded flowers needed a home on this pet sympathy card. Think twice about replacing your ink cartridges too soon - maybe you'll end up with something completely different from what you expected.

Pure Prairie Bouquet
I am finding using digital stamps for my cards is so convenient, especially when I am making more than one card. I adore the results I could get from using Heartfelt Creations floral stamps - but they haven't joined the digital world. Power Poppy is the closest I've found, but they don't design build-a-flower sets like Heartfelt does. What's a cardmaker to do? Oh well - maybe in my next life I'll be a digital artist?
Today I am sharing my first card using Power Poppy's Pure Prairie Bouquet. It was a pretty simple card once I realized I needed to adjust a setting on my cutter - It took me three hours, but what I learned will save me $$ as I discovered that I can use off-brand blades that cost 1/3 brand-name blades. Yeah me! Anyway - here's the birthday card I made.

The Little Mister/DCWV
One of my favorite things about baby cards is that they pretty much only need to be blue or pink! For this card, I used paper from The Little Mister collection (DCWV), added a baby banner, and a cute wood baby I picked up at a gender-reveal party.

10,000 Members
Kit and Clowder is one of my favorite Facebook groups - I can't help but be awed by the work on that page - from critters to vintage designs. I look forward every day to see the coloring styles. One of these days, I will have the time and money (at the same time) to join in on a Kit and Clowder class. I think I hold back a little because I just might be that one student they get who doesn't get it! LOL!
Kit and Clowder is celebrating 10,000 Facebook members - this card in celebration of that momentous occasion.

Our Buccaneer's Turning Two!
I am proud of this card! I am excited to watch my first grandson turn two years old - his mom is planning an adventurous party with a pirate theme. The pop-up template is from Robert Sabuda - whom I consider the pop-up king...I first purchased one of his books about ten years before I ever thought of papercrafting.

The Rustic Stack
Hello, All!
I created this layout of my husband featuring DCWV's Rustic Stack. I am making four scrapbooks for my in-laws and am using this collection for all the scrapbooks...I am in love with the colors! The colors are amazing! And they give a vintage feel to all the old pictures that have been thrown at me! This pay is my husband at six months old and about eighteen years old.

Happy Birthday, Mom
Tomorrow would be my mother-in-law's birthday. We lost her about ten years ago - To keep her memory, I am in the process of making four scrapbooks - one for each of my in-laws. Today's layout is inspired by the amazing sketch challenge from Stuck?! Sketches. Check out their entries - they will bring some joy to your day.

Create and Celebrate my In-Laws' Wedding
Today I was inspired by Lasting Memories Color Challenge #280.
I absolutely LOVE how the finished page turned out! This is the fourth page using this photo of my in-laws (making scrapbooks for all my husband's siblings). This layout has to be my favorite.
I spent a leisurely Saturday afternoon playing with the Rustic Stack from DCWV. It has the rustic colors that I see in the sand and taupe - then added some Bazill, Bo Bunny, and a bit of Simple Stories to bring in the blues. Totally my cup of tea.

Sketch Challenge: Wedding Layout
Happy Monday, Everyone!
Popping in with an entry for Sketch #470 at Scrapbook Challenges. It was a paper kind of day - but I'll be quiet for a while as I get my St. Patrick's Day cards ready.
For this challenge, I made a layout of my in-laws for one of my hubby's siblings. I am using the fabulous papers from DCWV - The Rustic Stack. It's a little bit country - and little bit elegance...but always puts out an adorable project sure to delight my in-laws.
The sentiment is from Baer Design Studios - the digital image is I Love You by Kajsan. Wishing you a great week!
