For the Graduate

Gosh, I can't believe it's October!  I feel like I need to be working on Christmas projects - when I haven't even decided what I want to do for Halloween.  Then graduation days will be here before you know it.  YIKES!  Well, here is a cute graduation card with papers from We Are 3 - SunRise SunSet (behind the owl) and Canvas Dreams.  The owl is precolored and cut on my Eclips. My original plan was to make a small owl in relation to the moon in the SunRise SunSet - instead I cut him out big and bold.  woo Hoo!  I added a sentiment from We Are 3's Graduation set.

Pantano Scrapbook Chicks Sketch

I made this layout using Nine's Baby Prints with added layers from Creative Fabrica's Watercolor Yellow Gray Roses.  I think gray and yellow is fresh and feminine.  The yellow and gray roses make the fabulous pages pop.  The title is computer generated. 

The Outlawz Festive Friday Challenge

Fridays always bring a Festive Friday Challenge at The Outlawz...this week's themes include Animals.  I made a scrapbook layout with digital paper patterns from Nine and a bunny from Kadoodle Bug.

While looking for a suitable title for this layout of my niece just learning to walk, I came across some fun quotes for babies walking.  It was fun choosing those that worked with my photos.

Spring Break!

I took a little hiatus from scrapbooking to create a couple 3D projects and thrilled to be scrapbooking again.  

To start, I was inspired by a layout in an old Papercuts magazine.  Thought the funky borders would be fun.

Wow!  Seems like it's been ages since I've wanted to craft anything other than scrapbook layouts.  Last weekend I created five of the six sketches in the Virtual Crop with Creative Memories.

Hearts Emphasis

Today is the sixth day of the SG Scrap Squad's Heart Emphasis Virtual Crop - a three-week long set of challenges using hearts.  I've been lurking this site for a while now - thought I would finally become a participant.  This challenge is to create a layout with a tag(s) embellished with hearts.

Creative Memories Virtual Crops call for a weekend of scrapbooking, and there's nothing more satisfying that getting lots of layouts completed with fun papers and sweet images.  The titles are computer generated.  

Sketch Challenge at Scrapbook Generation

It a Virtual Crop Challenge at Scrapbook Generation.  Lots of opportunity on this layout to use the fab pandas Kadoodle Bug is known for.  I flipped this sketch horizontally.  I had a little time, so cut out several baby phrases to use.  The papers are from Free Scrapbooking, and the "journaling" just happened to be in my stash from Love SVG.  Because this design fill the page with photos - easy peasy!  I just love al lthe sketches at Scrapbook Generation.   

Snippy Scrappers and Borders

My, the weeks are flying by!  The Snippy Scrappers met again this week with some new ideas for borders.   

The critters are a bit difficult to see - they are a variety of pandas from Kadoodle Bug.

This border is a simple layered border, but allows the focus to be on the title attached to it.  For this album, I'm using Free Digital Scrapbooking's April Showers.

Stick It Down Layout Sketch Challenge

This layout - inspired by the single-page sketch at Stick It Down - was a pretty quick layout.  I improvised by using a Minions Halloween treat bag (Kadoodle Bug) instead of the tree.

The background paper is from Dragonflies in Flight by We Are 3.  The title is from my stash, and the date was added with rub-on alphabet letters.

Does Anyone Else Feel Crabby?

Need a little water on your card?  There are so many cool and fun ways to depict water on a card - but the easiest is a piece of patterned paper - here I've used a piece of Dandelion Wishes (We Are 3) for my water.

Lovely Great-Granddaughter Birthday Card

I enjoy making cards of all kinds - a challenge for me, however, is children's cards.  I'm not particularly fond of Pinterest - but one card featuring a simple heart inspired me to make this card.  I think it was the Clean-and-Simple design giving me inspiration.

To create this birthday card, I began by with a card front using paper from We Are 3's Christmas Tree Card Kit.  Using Word, I printed sentiments at the top and bottom of the card front.  I added a "3" to Heart Cow from Kadoodle Bug and layered him on a pink shadow background.  My plan was to stop there - but something was missing.  So I added glitter balloons from Mouse with Heart Balloon from Cuddly Cute Designs.

2015 Pet-Adoption Event - April 11

April 11 is Tucson's Pet Adoption event, so what better time to scrap the four-legged friends in your life with birthday wishes.

This is your chance to wish two-legged friends with "ruff" and "purr-fect" birthday wishes.  There are a lot of different digital files to suit your personal taste and designs for cards.  BTW, if you are in the Tucson area, you will probably be able to find a four-legged friend to suit your personal taste at the Pet-Adoption Event, too.

Puppies are great for sending greetings - including birthday.  Whether it's from a digital image or stamp, using a pup meakes for a fun, homemade card.  And the best part?  Puppy files are easy to find from SVG Cuts, 2 Cute Ink, and Kadoodle Bug.

Pet Wishes

I have cards that I did Thursday for the Tucson Pet Adoption Event on April 11.  I adore the images (cat from Kadoodle Bug and dog from 2 Cute Ink).  They are both so adorable!  These are obviously pretty fast and easy to make - important as I have such a large quantity.  Enjoy!
