Stick It Down Sketch Challenge
New month - new challenges at Stick It Down! I love the single-page sketch this month - super quick and easy! I'm really excited about how my layout turned out. I used the sweet We Are 3 Dragonflies in Flight paper. I flipped the sketch horizontally, used some digital splashes, and - what I think I loved most - got to use up some of the awesome border stickers in my stash! The title on the photo is computer generated. I finished it off with some sequins.

I Do Love Monochromatic!
Today's card uses Whale from Angie's Digital Stamps for Paper Ala Mode's Challenge - Monochromatic. There's something about monochromatic cards that I adore, and for this one I tried a new technique, so had a lot of fun making it.
For the blue background behind the whale, I wanted to get a stenciled effect - but using Gimp, rather than stencils and inks. I used Lattice 39 from Monica's Creative Room for my stencil, then used a "watercolor" technique I've been practicing to get the stenciled effect.

Paper Ala Mode - Under the Sea
I couldn't resist using this little octopus image as he seems to be so cheerful - hoping his friends will be joyful.
Stamp: Octopus with Bows - Angie's Digital Stamps
I chose to create a single-layer card using Angie's Digital Stamp Octopus with Bows. Everything was colored using Gimp. I added a brushstroke for the ocean scene.

With Sympathy - Paper Ala Mode
I'm pleased to share with you a card I made with Birds Playing in Birdbath (Angie's Digital Stamps). I chose this for a sympathy card because the image of bird bath sent by coworkers when my mother died is always with me. It was such a unique and thoughtful gift - and have since given bird baths to others. Be sure to join us at the Paper Ala Mode challenge and share your sympathy card with us.

Using a large image for your cards can be so convenient, especially when you are in a hurry. However, it's always fun to add just a little something extra to add a little interest - a black cat. Today, I am sharing a quick and easy card using the Daisy May Pumpkin Carving digital stamp, along with some word art and a black cat silhouette to make a Halloween card. Be sure to join Angie's Digital Stamps for this month's challenge - Anything Goes with a "Halloween" twist.

September Challenge - Angie's Digital Stamps
Hi there! I'm back this morning to announce a new challenge blog at Angie's Digital Stamps. The challenges will always be Anything Goes. There will sometimes be an optional “twist” added to the theme. They will run monthly from the first Sun of the month until the last Fri of the month. There will be one Winner and a Top Three chosen for each challenge. The prize is two images of the Winner’s choice from Angie's shop. If the winner used one of Angie's images on the project, the Winner will receive three images as the prize. Here is my first design using Angie's Large Flower.
