Here's a layout I made for a Cherry Top Challenge with a "Friends" theme. The starry background paper has been in my stash since I was teaching classes. All the other papers are scraps in mystash. The border is the leftover pieces from scalloped borders I cut some time ago. The butterflies were a gift from another crafty friend that were perfect for this page. That's the kind of layout I like - Open a couple storage folders, pull out some papers, and you're done! Oh, I did cut the lacy circle in the middle....but I cut several different circles so next time I need a circle....check out the stash!

We Are 3 and a Woodworking Santa
Today's all about another Christmas card! My husband enjoys playing with mesquite wood - but has yet found a truly useful idea to make. While shopping through a craft show, there was a vendor with beautiful mesquite products. Often those vendors hold their secrets close to their hearts - no need to help the competition. However, we met Bill and he was willing to help my hubby out, sharing info of local groups and deals and steals. My hubby still hasn't made anything useful - but he did make a new friend. So he asked me to make a special Christmas card - this is what we came up with...Santa working a little wood of his own.
I combined a lot of free clipart to make my woodworking Santa using Gimp - a Santa, a lumberjack cutting wood, and an axe. For my papers, I used leftovers from an earlier projects - what you see here is Christmas Magic digital papers and In Stitches.

Sketch Challenge with Atlantic Hearts
It's another beautiful week here in Sunny Sahuarita! So today's Table Scraps are some awesome southwest flowers left over from a class I taught many years ago. Today I thought they'd fit well on Atlantic Hearts' Sketch #209 - to be sent back to Michigan friends. I was inspired by the sketch (turned upside down) - though any resemblance might be a stretch now. LOL!

We Are 3 Papers
I love watercolor digital papers from We Are 3 - kind of my go-to papers for challenges. This card was inspired by the current sketch challenge at The Outlawz and Miss Daisy Stamps March Challenge - Sentiment Only - using a free sentiment from Miss Daisy - Friends in Your Heart

Friendship Card with Butterflies
For the focal point of this card, I used a simple sentiment. To give this simple card extra interest, added some butterflies using Martha Stewart's Classic Butterfly punch - perfect for Challenge #199 at Glitter 'N' Sparkle (butterflies).

School Time
Amy Doodle has this cute nerdy image. Just a simple fun little card made with some leftovers from a class I taught.

Simple Globeframe
When giving a handcrafted gift, personalization is a must for me. I fell in love with globecraft frames years ago - and although they are harder to find now, I can never turn away from using one as a special gift.
In this project, I used seasonal papers and gems to create a custom frame for my friend. Each Christmas since my friend's grandson was born, I've made her a globeframe with his picture. This year, I've strayed away from the Christmas theme to Halloween - here Sylas is opening Grandma's Halloween treat package.
I've made this frame a bit interactive by gluing gems back to back and enclosing them in the frame to make a shaker frame.
Here are links to the frames made the past three years (don't know what happened to my first frame).

Spiritual Collection
Hi, All!
Today I have more cards using stickers I bought for my wedding album ten years ago. :D For these cards, I wanted to get them done quickly - so simple matting and journal cards from Heartfelt Creations helped. Such cute journal cards - but I do have a hard time including them in my work.

Serene Inspiration
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are inspired by today's post. These are for a special order for "serene" cards. They aren't quite as serene as I had hoped....purchased the paper pack online - so didn't realize the pretty pink patterns and subdued colors would be to "tea stained." Hope the customer finds them serene! Throwing in a coordinated storage box.

A Little Friendship
Good morning, All!
I have a couple friendship cards today - as usual, using scraps. These are perfect for just letting someone know you're thinking of them.
For both cards, I used a Word Art Sentiment from Digital Scrapbook Place.

Scraps to Treasures Blog Hop - Best Friends Forever

The blue and black paper are scraps left over from the big wedding order I did this summer. The white paper is embossed with words - purchased years ago and just rising to the top of my scrap pile. The butterflies come from a digital stamp (forgot the source - sorry!) used on some of the wedding cards. The BFF is a free digital stamp from Lazy Daisy Designs. The lacy card shape is an svg file from SVG Cuts - Lacey Mom Card. And, finally, the pearls are left over from a baby project I made for a coworker.
Enjoy today's hop and we'll see you right back here again next month, when we'll be using scraps to make cards inspired by a specific color scheme.
Your next stop is Paula. Here is the entire line up in case you get lost.
