Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper

There's a new Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers.  A while back I was selected at Featured Stamper, and this fabulous honor is awarded to a new crafter each week.  The Featured Stamper's gallery is inspiration for the rest of us - each choosing a project to CASE - this week I thought this was the perfect card for me to CASE.  It's simple (I'm still working with very little in my craft room after tile installation).  I wanted to share a stencil technique with my 14-year-old pen pal - this offered plenty of room to demonstrate the stencil technique.

The papers are from 2012 Halloween Papers from Tsunami Rose.  I added the orange stencil technique (digitally, of course), using a stencil I bought at Walmart years ago and never used.  Finally I added a sentiment from my stash.  I thought the orange flourishes using the stencil were a nice touch.

Be sure to visit Splitcoast Stampers and see the wonderful Featured Stamper projects - if you would like, join us!  Check out details here.

My New Christmas Cards

Morning, All!

I’ve been making Christmas cards for a while now.  I love these two cards because of the vintage Christmas postcard images from Tsunami Rose Designs.  Some die-cut snowflakes - super simple!  :D

Christmas - on Memorial Day

I have fallen in love with making Christmas cards!  So much so that I keep my Christmas papers within arm's length, and I continue to make fun new Christmas cards every chance I get.  For today's card, I used A Digital Postcard (Christmas Gifts Journal Pockets) from Tsunami Rose Designs - cut with Spellbinders Nested Pine Trees.

Artful Digital Postcard

I won some digital files from Tsunami Rose Designs a while back and knew I had to share a card with you. The background "Postcard" image is Life Abloom from Tsunami Rose. Such pretty images!

Hi Everyone,

Happy Saturday! Are you doing anything special today? I am grazing through my scraps.

Tsunami Rose Weekly Challenge

Hi Everyone

The time has come to join Tsunami Rose in another Wednesday Challenge.  This week's challenge is extra special, as Daisy is celebrating her birthday and her design team have created beautiful birthday projects - and invited everyone to submit the same!  Daisy's designers have brought you another set of fantastic inspiration that will inspire the creative genius within you.  If you haven't already hopped their blogs, click here to get started.

For my birthday card for Daisy, I used some paper that actually was my very first paper purchase back when I started scrapping in 2005...embellished with a postcard from Tsunami Rose's Life's a Bloom Collection.

One Grand Prize winner will be selected to receive $25 toward purchases at The Robin's Nest online store.

Winners will be posted Sunday, April 21, on The Robin's Nest blog. Be sure to check back to see if you are a lucky winner!

Today I'm sharing a card using Cardstock and Dew Drops from the Robin's Nest.

Supplies Used to Complete this card

Mat cardstock for frame effect - Gold Classic Glitter on top of Brown Classic Glitter on top of Moss Green Classic Glitter. I added a vertical matted strip on the left - Orange Glitter Crackle, matted with Brown Classic Glitter. The horizontal strip is Getaway Glitter Swirl, also matted with Brown Classic Glitter. The corner die cut is in Brown Classic Glitter.

Daisies are die cut from Orange Crackle Glitter and randomly arranged on the card - with Dew Drop centers, of course. The leaf stamped on Getaway Glitter Swirl add the finishing touch to my daisy patch. Top it off with a sentiment of choice! Finished card size is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".

Be sure to visit all the designers for a variety of ideas using daisies! Your next stop is Genevive. Links to each designer's blog are below. Enjoy!

Tsunami Rose Challenge Wednesday #9 - Altered Item

I Love Tsunami Rose's Challenge Wednesday.  This week's challenge is an altered item.  My submission is an oldie, but goodie.  Remember back several years, tin cans and lunch boxes were all the fad.  Still have several laying around.  Well, a couple weeks ago, my Stampin' Up friend Paulette gave me one of their new embossing folders.  Companies are getting smarter and making these folders larger...but, alas, it wouldn't fit in my handy dandy embossing folder storage container!  So I pulled out a tin...did my bling thing to it...and I have a new folder storage system.

Now take a break from your busy schedule, visit Tsunami Rose's Blog, and enjoy all the creativity you'll find there.

Tsunami Rose - Wednesday Challenge #3

My Christmas decorations are nearly put away...Valentines are finished, and next up is March and St. Patrick's Day.  It's time to grab my Graphic 45 A Place in Time, sit down, and relax as I enjoy creating inspiration with March's papers.  Graphic 45 has made it easy to get creatively rolling with papers for each month.  In this and future blogs, March and St. Patrick's Day will be represented as I get my green on! In this case, for the Tsunami Rose's Challenge Color Challenge...GREEN, PURPLE, and PINK!

Tsunami Rose - Wednesday Challenge #2

Anyone else out there too busy to take down there Christmas tree?  Well, maybe it's not so much too busy as it is priorities - and I couldn't resist take time away from my Christmas tree to join the Tsunami Rose Designs card challenge... 34 days until Valentine's Day, so I have time - or maybe I just need to cover everything on the tree with hearts!  Actually, one of my New Year's Resolutions is to enjoy every minute of every day - and right now taking down the Christmas tree does not sound enjoyable.  :D

So taking time to do something enjoyable - sharing some Valentine cards made using a variety of scraps - embellished with Graphic 45's A Place in Time images, flowers from Petaloo International, and Robin's Nest Dew Drops.
