Natural Luxury

For today's card, I used Table Scraps from Craftsmith's "Natural Luxury" collection.  I think the black, tan, and gray are simply scrumptious.

Head over to My Creative Sketches for the January Sketch!  I turned the sketch upside down.

Super Excited to Share We Are 3 Digital Papers and Images

Hi, Everyone

I am using We Are 3 amazing digital papers and image.  The paper collection is called Cupcake Wrappers - the image is Ursula Unicorn.  Together I created a simple card for my neighbor's sixth birthday - a Curved Gate-Fold card with a Belly Band.

February Challenge at Angie's Digital Stamps

As always, thank you so much for visiting my blog!  My goal is to create cards, scrapbook layouts, and paper crafts that encourage scrappers to create their own crafts.  Today you can share your make at Angie's Digital Stamps with Challenge #6 - Anything Goes.  With that - yes, I'm using Angie's stamp Daisy May with Treat Bag.

Enter your card into the challenge at Angie's Digital Stamps Blog.

Love Colors

Hi, Everyone!  I'm here today sharing a quick-and-easy card for the February Challenge at House of Cards.  I especially love this challenge as I have a Paper Studio collection that has just been sitting there - shades of pink perfect for this challenge.

Reflections

Who here joins sketch challenges?  I actually really like them - great for inspiration.  This layout is inspired by the February 1 challenge at Let's Get Sketchy - Sketch and Mood Board.

Here is my layout.  I turned the sketch upside down - and the center focus is a bit different as I had to get these eight photos in.  (The colors on this are primarily pink and red - no idea why so much is looking beige - no beige included!)

February Release for We Are 3

This is the first full month as a designer for We Are 3, and I have been having so much fun sharing digital inspiration with you all!

I love watercolored cards very much.  Waterclor randomness brings an immense charm. This card is made using the new Watercolor Collection from We Are 3...the beauty of watercolor without the mess!  Try out this gorgeous paper - as well as all the new releases at We Are 3.

Scrapbooking Inspiration with GrandDiva's Creative Corner and Rochelle Spears

I finally got serious about scrapbooking our wedding after 12 years.  Third start - didn't get too far on my first two attempts, but I have found some papers that really inspired me this time.  So I'm committed not to finish the great project.  This layout is inspired by the current challenge at GrandDiva's Creative Corner - "Scrap the Lyrics."  The song used for inspiration is "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston.  The layout is inspired by the current challenge with Rochelle Spears.

Just Goofing Around

Today's layout is inspired by the Sketch Challenge at Sketch-N-Scrap #122.  Be sure to visit their blog for more inspiration using this sketch.

As you can see, I turned the sketch sideways to accommodate portrait photos.  Unfortunately, I'm not able to share photos of my grandchildren - you will just have to take my word for it that he is just the cutest ever!  LOL!

Hearts and Home with We Are 3

If you know me, you know I adore paper piecing.  For this paper piecing, I chose Hearts and Home Birdie - and also Kerst Christmas - from We Are 3.  An easy tip for paper piecing is using digital papers and the fill selection in Adobe Photoshop...after printing the same selection several times, then paper piece by cutting and layering different elements.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Table Scraps with Sketch-n-Sketchy

Using the fun Scrap-n-Sketch challenge #90, I created this card.  I used scraps on my craft table from We Are 3, which includes a strip from the Holiday Thank You Collection and WOW Snowman.  The snowman's hat and scarf are paper pieced with Winter Sunshine. Quick and easy!

We Are 3 has Wonderful Digital Papers

On this card, I used Nature Blends (We Are 3) for the background and Dogwood Branch (Pattie's Creations).

Ready to Shake for Groundhog's Day

Hi!  I am sharing a card for Groundhog's Day.  In my younger, wilder days - a friend and I turned Groundhog's Day into a special holiday of celebration.  30+ years later, we now live thousands of miles apart - yet we always take this one day of the year to reconnect.  This is the card I'm sending this year - loving it so much, think my grandkids each need one, too.

Inside, Phil is on a homemade wobble.  I decided on this design last night and realized I don't have any Wobbles left (or better yet, just can't be found)...a frantic search for Wobbles left me receiving them a good week or two after Groundhog's Day.  Gotta love You Tube - found a video for homemade Wobbles - now why didn't I think of that?  Here's Phil in action.

Symphony of Hearts

The best part of having a scrap pile are the little fun items you can make out of it!  This tag is made from scraps of the awesome digital collection Nature Blends (We Are 3).

Create an Interactive Layout

The best part of being an old papercrafter is scrappin' the grandchildren!  Today you'll see three layouts - but this is all really one layout with sections that flip up.  I use the Fuse Tool - but the same effect can be had with Close to My Heart's Flip Flaps.  Unfortunately, since I'm not able to post photos of my grandchildren online, I can't share the video demonstrating the Fuse Tool.  But if you go to You Tube and search Close to My Heart Flip Flaps - you will see some awesome layouts!
